What Teven is
Teven is a web tool that turns a spreadsheet of contacts into individually written emails and sends them from your own Gmail account.
It is not a template with placeholders. Every email is written from scratch using that row's data, so the message behind it stays the same while the wording, the examples and the context change for each recipient.
The problem it solves
If you need to contact a hundred different businesses, you currently choose between two bad options.
Option one: a template with merge fields
Fast, and obvious to everyone who receives it. "Hi {{name}}, I noticed {{company}} is a {{industry}} business" fools nobody and gets deleted.
Option two: writing each one by hand
It works far better, but at five minutes per email a hundred contacts is more than eight hours of work. Almost nobody does it.
Everything in between is built for sales teams: hundreds of euros a month, dedicated sending domains, sequences, CRMs and a week of setup.
How it works
1. Upload your spreadsheet
Drag in an Excel or CSV file. The only required column is the email address. Everything else — name, city, business type, rating, whatever you have — becomes material the AI can use. Columns are detected automatically, and you confirm what was found.
2. Write the first email yourself
Teven shows you the first contact's details and asks you to write to them the way you normally would. This is the only real effort involved, and it takes a couple of minutes.
3. Teven learns from that example
That single email carries everything: your tone, your length, your structure, which details you chose to mention and how far you personalize. No tone dropdowns, no configuration screens, no prompt engineering.
4. Review two, then two more
You see the next emails written in front of you and edit anything that feels off. Your corrections shape the ones that follow.
5. Generate the rest and review
Every email appears in a table you can open and edit. Anything the system is unsure about is flagged and shown first. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
6. Connect Gmail and send
Emails go out from your own account, spaced out over time, with copies in your Sent folder. You can close the browser while it runs.
Who it is for
- Freelancers and small businesses contacting a specific list of suppliers, venues or prospects.
- People inside a company who need to email two hundred contacts and have no corporate tooling for it.
- Anyone with a one-off campaign: a launch, a season, a single outreach push.
The typical user does not consider themselves a salesperson. They have a spreadsheet, a list of addresses and one thing to say.
Who it is not for
- Large sales organizations that need a CRM, reporting, team roles and permissions.
- Bulk newsletter marketing to opted-in subscriber lists. That is a different product entirely.
- Anyone looking for automated follow-up sequences and multi-step campaigns.
This is deliberate. Staying small is the point.
What Teven deliberately does not do
- No stored contact lists. Your spreadsheet is processed and discarded.
- No open or click tracking. No pixels, no rewritten links.
- No automated follow-up sequences.
- No HTML design editor. Plain text, which is what actually works in cold email.
- No username and password. Your Google account is your account.
- No configuration screens. Everything is inferred from the example you wrote.
Privacy and your Google account
Send-only permission
Teven requests a single Google permission: the ability to send email on your behalf. It cannot read your inbox, your drafts or your contacts, because it never asks for access to them.
Your contacts are not stored
Spreadsheet data is processed to write your emails and then discarded. Teven keeps no contact lists, no recipient addresses and no copies of what was sent. The only record of your campaign lives in your own Sent folder.
Your account is protected
Gmail enforces daily sending limits — roughly 500 recipients on a free account and 2,000 on Google Workspace. Teven keeps you well below those thresholds, spaces messages out with randomized intervals and warms up new accounts gradually, so your personal mailbox stays in good standing.
Pricing
Prepaid packs of emails. One credit per email written, no monthly subscription, and unused balance does not expire.
Most people who need this send a burst of emails and then nothing for months. Charging a monthly fee for that would be dishonest, so Teven doesn't.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from mail merge?
Mail merge swaps placeholders inside one fixed template. Teven writes each message separately, so a seaside hotel in Alicante and a mountain hotel in a Pyrenean village receive genuinely different emails rather than the same sentence with two words changed.
Do I need to write a template?
No. You write one real email to one real contact. That is the whole setup.
Can I edit the emails before they go out?
Yes, and you have to approve them. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
Which email account does it send from?
Your own Gmail, connected through Google OAuth. Copies land in your Sent folder.
Does it work with Outlook or my own SMTP server?
Not yet. Gmail only, for now.
What file formats can I upload?
Excel and CSV. The only required column is the email address.
What if my spreadsheet has no header row?
Teven works it out from the data itself and shows you what it understood so you can correct it.
